2.5 Serial Configuration Controller (SCC)

The Serial Configuration Controller (SCC) is a block of registers internal to the test chip that

the Daughterboard Configuration Controller writes through a serial interface. The

Daughterboard Configuration Controller uses the SCC during power-up configuration to set the

test chip PLLs and other default values from the board configuration files stored on the

motherboard microSD card. The MCC also uses the SCC to read values from the test chip, for

example, the device ID.

You can also read and write to the SCC registers while the system is running using the

motherboard SYS_CFG register interface.

Figure 2-8 shows an overview of the SCC connectivity.
